About Our Electric Guitar Classes
Electric guitar classes at Melody Makers in Dubai are one-to-one, 1-hour lessons for all ages, covering rock, blues, funk, metal and jazz techniques. As a Registered Trinity College London Exam Centre, we offer a pathway from Initial through Grade 8 at our Karama studio. Students learn power chords, lead lines, tone shaping and effects alongside structured exam preparation or freestyle skill-building.
Every electric guitar lesson is a full one-hour, one-to-one session. Students learn essential techniques including palm muting, string bending, vibrato, hammer-ons, pull-offs, slides and tapping. Our instructors also cover amplifier settings, basic effects pedal use and how to achieve the tone you hear in your head. Lessons are tailored to each student’s favourite genres and goals.
As a Registered Exam Centre of Trinity College London, we offer pathways to internationally recognised qualifications for electric guitar players. Our exam preparation includes mock exams, progress monitoring and specialist workshops.

Trinity College London Exam Preparation
Melody Makers is a Registered Exam Centre of Trinity College London. We prepare electric guitar students for internationally recognised graded examinations from Initial through to Grade 8. Our exam preparation programme includes:
- Individualised lesson plans aligned to the Trinity syllabus
- Constant progress monitoring with clear milestones
- In-house mock examinations simulating real exam conditions
- Specialist workshops with tips on exam technique and facing the examiner
- Theory and supporting test preparation integrated into every lesson
Certification is optional. Students can also learn purely for enjoyment without pursuing formal examinations.
